Over 120 years and going strong.
Christ Church was founded as an “Evangelical Reformed” church in 1895. Back then, our congregation was comprised mainly of European immigrants. Christ Church became a part of the United Church of Christ in 1957. Over the past 100 years we have witnessed thousands of baptisms, weddings, and have been home to thousands of families.
Today in 2019, Christ Church is a vibrant, welcoming, and thriving worship community. We reflect the changing demographics of the Bay View Community in Milwaukee and the new landscape of Christianity in the 21st century. We welcome all people -- regardless of race, gender identity, ability, sexual orientation, economic status, or background. We are all the body of Christ at Christ Church.
From homeless ministries to animal shelters–we support many local non-profit organizations with our outreach in the greater Milwaukee area.
Rev. Dan Stark, who was installed in 2015 as the sixth pastor in the church’s 120-year history, pastors Christ Church today.
